Ladies in Red have been submitted to Perform @ BIG EVENTS such as Palm Springs Salsa Extravaganza; August 2011, Hawaii Salsa Festival; February 2012, Los Angeles Salsa Congress & Festival; May 2012, & Vegas Salsa Festival; July 2012, and Plam Springs Salsa Extravaganza; August 2012. This all female Salsa Group developed from a Ladies Styling & Musicality Performance Class, taught, choreographed and directed by Christina Haggerty in 2007. Christina adds new members periodically; the next open window for new dancers to apply is now is mid June or July, so stay tuned to this page or e-mail Christina right away to get on board. The routine is about 3 minutes long and is a strong Intermediate level with advanced styling.

This is an all inclusive Dance Class to improve your timing, musicality, movement, turns, balance, strength, flexibility and overall dancing. It will combine jazz warm up, isolation's, strengthening and stretching, co-ordination & technique drills, as well as salsa footwork, styling, turn drills and eventually performance choreography.

Ladies in RED Audision Rehearsals : You will be introduced to some of the choreography here to see if this season is a fit on your part and mine. "Audition" dates are TBA soon.

Ladies in RED Performance Group Performs and Perfects. If selected, you will perform all over Los Angeles; Dates and Times TBA, and at Big events above may also include the locations below and local venues including Olivia's, Wherehouse, Zanzibar, Granada, Monsoon, Borderline, Wokano, Palermo Collezioni Sat. Socials, Mambo Den, Cock N Bull, Hacienda, the Club, La Brisas, and more... The shows don't cost anything and most are not paid, however I will welcome any paid show that may come along during this time.

PERFORMERS
Rehearsal Locations: Sat or Sundays in the Valley, and Wednesday nights @ Palermo Collezioni Studio in West LA. . After some rehearsals, we will have performers meetings(probably half hour long). Please bring your calendars. These are to keep you informed, to answer questions, and at times work on costumes. My expectation for all dancers is that you commit to being at the group rehearsals, give me your best and work hard in & practice on own outside rehearsals.

COST / INVESTMENT AMOUNTS:
Rehearsals: $20 per week; 3 hours of instruction. 2 times - 1 hour in studio and 2 hours at outdoor stage. Also covers the studio, music editing, choreography, staging, and intensive group private.
Can save money if monthly amount is paid in advanced.

Costumes
Total for Costumes is usually around $100; this includes most Accessories,. The due date is TBA for 2011.

Big Event Big Event Costs
The performers passes include all the workshops, plus any pool parties and evening events with live bands and/or guest DJ's. Some include pre-parties as well for the entire weekend. The llisted prices are based on past years and subject to change. The hotel rate's do vary but usually average about $100 per room night and that is usually split by 4 dancers per room. I do my very best to register early and do everything I can to keep all cost's very low.
